Exactly, really dont get the point of defending, and even worse comparing obscure no names who lacks enough background information to make a full accurate assessment to others. I am guessing it's some sort of coping mechanism where they look similar to the subject so they cling onto him

They think this is a true candid (it is not) so they're under the impression this is how he actually looked in his prime, in his every waking moment of the day. It's the only reason they go so hard for this utter nobody. And yeah, I bet users here who have a similar enough pheno see themselves in him

Exactly, De poot and Barrett rely on aesthetics, just like Salih who thrives in the aesthetic department but lacks in the conventional one.
De Poot, Barrett and Salih and their aesthetic likes are purely based upon autism and fashion industry gaze, they stand no chance against those with more conventionally attractive looks that is objectively deemed more beautiful such as Pitt, Strijd, Bomer etc. PSL takes both into account but obviously the latter factor weighs more

I don't think so, aesthetics for me are facial developement,features,ratios,harmony,angularity,coloring and such. a conventionally attractive face in most cases is an aesthetic one that belongs to a certain phenotype or doesn't have an extreme or unsual feature.

You can be hyper aesthetic and conventionally handsome at the same time.For example hexum and aubrey are more aesthetic and conventionally good looking than depoot and barret.

Yes Hexum, Aubry, Gandy, O'Pry, Pitt, Waldau, Bomer, Walker, Cavill, Lewis, Rodrigo etc, fit the conventionally attractive standards and all of them carry aesthetic traits, some more than others. Usually they go hand in hand but not always which is the case with De Poot and Barrett as you pointed out and I believe Salih is more like the latter. He's more of a polarizing modelesque guy that manages to look good in his editorials, less so than conventional beauty that holds weight in the actual real world
