On the one hand they're determinists and argue humans are basically biological robots governed by natural laws. On the other hand they speak about how the universe is random and everything boils down to probability so they can attempt to explain how anything exists at all rather than nothing. If determinism is true than no matter how many times you run a simulation it'll play out exactly the same cause there's no randomness, the variables remain the same. If there's such a thing as randomness than any two simulations will NEVER play out exactly the same.
