Even if there is creator there's no need whatsoever to try to connect so much with this entity which is how the concept of a God mostly works in the first place for most people. For all we know it just created the universe and then disappeared, ceased to exist in any way shape or form. Imagine thinking this superior creator is so invested and worried about what happens on a planet that makes up an unbelievably minuscule portion of his creation to the point he creates rules for society as to who lives an eternity of either peace or suffering and you live off of those rules because you want to go to "heaven" lmao. Just beyond delusional.

We don't know the purpose, but most simulations in our reality are in some way or another war game simulations. Dreams, stories, games, movies, all our minds natural tendency to run through scenarios to better understand how to survive and take resources away from competing biological agents.

Highly plausible we are in a wargame simulation, one Ai simulating the emergence of another Ai to better understand it and kill it. Or other similar simulations.

Simulations vastly outnumber base realities, so chances are high that we are in a simulation. But yah, you're point is right, low chance the creator(s) gives a shit about us as individuals.
