Atleast you tried hard at something to get little return on investment from that very thing.
1. You showed great determination for something and that you are capable of being disciplined through experience.
2. You showcased solid discipline for at least something in return.
3. With that thing it might not be over for you, more steps big, small or both and you might get that very thing you want.
Life is hard and hard work may be overrated but nothing is wrong with working hard at something unless impossible.
