I’ve been slowly ascending over the past couple of years (see my profile for ascension post) and I let myself descend a bit recently (not shaving, not getting my haircut and letting my skin go to shit) since I got my new job and I’ve been kinda going under the radar in terms of social interactions at work but one day I decided to clear up my skin, apply bb cream, get a haircut and wear height boosters and the change in treatment shocked me. I work in a kitchen and all of the waitresses come in to drop off dirty plates and if they’re nice they’ll ask u if you want a drink or smth on the rare occasion. The day I went in looking better i was in the back room putting my apron on and this ltb waitress starts making conversation with me for the first time (keep in mind i had been working there for 3 months already and she hadn’t spoken to me once) then once i get in the kitchen im cleaning some dishes and the ltb comes in and stands by my station and just starts yapping to me and trying to show me a dog out in the restaurant, I say I can’t see it and she literally grabs me by my arm and tries to show me. After this she tries to continue the conversation even though were insanely busy but she gives up cus I don’t rlly wanna talk to her offers me a drink I say no but she insists on getting me one. Anyway this waitress then leaves and id say the next one that came in was this blonde mtb, I had introduced myself to her before and yet today she says “I don’t think we’ve met” and tells me her name and shakes my hand which made me crack up inside cus we had literally met before it was just crazy to me and then she does the same thing as the waitress before her. When I’m about to clock off in the back room the ltb reappears and waffles to me for ten minutes whilst I’m trying to leave. The next shift I have I can’t find a clean apron and the ltb then suggests that I change into another t shirt right in front of her and change back after my shift
. The difference in treatment literally left me astounded and I just wanted to share my experience.
