Aus economy needs population growth to survive but people aren't having kids cos its too expensive and theres nowhere to live. Kids born here also need to be educated and shit which costs money for the gov. Its cheaper to just import already grown up people and have them work here.

See, the problem with the argument people are making to defend high immigration levels, is they frame it as if the issue is we can only choose between "declining population" and "ridiculously high immigration", as if it's a binary choice.

The other issue with mass migration is that our infrastructure simply cannot catch up with the capacity, honestly there is no real long term thinking in this country. Mass migration only really serves to benefit the elite and buisness owners who get cheap labour and renters while the rest of hs have our quality of life eroded.

If these immigrants supposedly help the economy why are we only limiting it to 900k a year? Why not increase it to 90 million indians a year? Might as well let the whole of India into Australia at this point.
