basically this is a variety of youtube channel where the YTer picks a topic, usually something extremely outdated, and talks about it, not even giving an opinion just recapping the event. the appeal is clearly to ppl who are too lazy to read articles or even the wikipedia about the topic.
an example would be this video on Chris Chan who has entire forums dedicated to autistically tracking his every move so there is literally all the information you need if you want to know about him. this video was made in 2018 which is 10 years after he had any relevance online.
and "The Right Opinion" channel who bizarrely has 500k subs despite being nothing more than a homosexual who recaps gossip about e celebs that are already irrelevant by the time the video comes out.
how lazy have westerners become that "content" like this has a market.
