There was this annoying kid from my old school who was autistic and used to report everything to teachers

It was so annoying

My friend got in so much trouble because of his antics

Autistic people are good at playing the moral high ground but in reality are pretty selfish people.

Lol, he has no idea what the world is like, due to his condition
An adult fills his head about ideas of "rules" and the fact that people who don't follow them are bad or whatever
Ofcourse he will report you
He is a product of his environment
In another way, sometimes autists' heads are filled of ideas of rebellion by delinquents they may hang out with, and become super antisocial
This is not like a sure shot thing, theres no rule in psychology that doesn't have an exception [incoming erm actually response]

You are just AUTISTICALLY :feelshah: generalizing

Yeah I kinda figured

Autism is so weird I feel like it’s an extremely broad term for things

Also there was some autistic kid who grew up really poor with little morals I knew who basically completely fucked up in life and had a decent amount of potential academically

Autism is really broad but also is extremely specific
You can meet 2 autistic people who are insanely different, and also you might meet someone who ticks all the autism diagnosis boxes apart from 1 and because of that don't get counted as autistic by psychiatrists
Autism isn't some disorder where you just talk to a psychiatrist and get diagnosed, you need to do these special tests
Socially, Autism is just the inability to see Humans as special object, it's similiar to disorders which remove your empathy in a way

ASPD - High(er) logical empathy, Low emotional empathy
ASD - High emotional empathy, Low logical empathy

This might change, you might meet an aspie with low emotional empathy or an ASPD with low logical empathy but that's basically how it is

I remember for example, my parents took me to the ear doctor because they thought i had hearing issues because when they called me i'd ignore, but it's just an aspie symptom where I just block out the voices of people calling on me when I'm focused on something, common autism trait

Yeah my cousin has extremely severe low functioning autism and it just seems way different to someone who can actually work a job or perform highly academically.

It’s hard to gauge if he has any typical empathy or anything like that

He barely interacts with people

It's usually
Aspergers - normal development, requires average or above average intellignece, classified as level 1 ASD
high functioning - worsened development [think couldnt speak till age 4 or some shit], doesn't need above average intelligence, also level 1
Whenever you see someone who suffers [yes suffers] from autism who can still communicate like a normal person and can go about his life normally, it's high functioning

medium functioning - high functioning but cannot communicate properly, usually an outcast, whether by society or willfully

low functioning - cannot even cook or shower for themselves tier

technically aspergers is also called high functioning the term is really interchangable, aspergers is like the top 30 percentile of high functioning autists I guess

your cousin is probably medium functioning
