I'll agree, pornography and sexual perversion are societally encouraged. but humans are not brainwashed into sex, we've an evolutionary drive to have sex for the sake of reproduction, it's pretty evident.

The only thing supporting the claim is man made ideas of nobility, civility, discipline, etc. I won't deny that I internalize such ideas myself but it varies a lot person to person. In my perspective civility vs "hedonism" are both different forms of getting the same neurotransmitters juicing to feel good, with civilized virtuosity being less "direct". I don't think this is something that can be really argued well because it's such a fundemental worldview thing or at least it's out of my IQ range to talk deeply about. I also have 0 concept of spirituality.
