The problem is that it's not about what is better in terms of technology or use-case. It's all about hype. ETH is very popular. The second most popular after BTC. Because of that, I think AVAX or any other coin won't be worth more than Ethereum for a long time.

I hear talk about since 1.5 year now; and that thing is still not there.
And ones keeps getting MEGA fees raped, on any transaction.

Almost start to doubt Eth2.0 even exists.

OR, just wait another 5 years, till eth2.0 gets launched
