It can be a pro, companies in US have much less stringent major requirements & general studies classes let you keep higher GPA cos their easier. Like you can work in Goldman IBD as a French/ Art History major

Also the pay once you get out in US is much better provided u got into a feeder school. Average consulting/ IBD internship pay is like $7-8K per month, not incl free gym/food/ ubers etc.
