The retard I was arguing said stupid shit like but we’d have to pay 200,000 for healthcare like Americans

Americans don’t even fucking pay that much if I’m not mistaken insurance companies exist and often employers cover the cost of healthcare.

UK wages are fucking dogshit the least the government could do is lower their fucking taxes for the average person.

Uk system is the only one we can realistically have now.

You COULD spend a load to fix the NHS, but it would be so expensive it would take 10+ years to make it back in efficiency gains.

Ideally UK should tend to a Australian system, but again it would take time and cost money to transition.

Us system is totally broken, like most US systems, but they haven't needed to change because wider US economy was always increasing productivity.

This might change now as US faces first productivity fall for 70 years +

America has the best and most accesssable economy on the planet. They say its bad because its worse than the boomer golden age and while thats certainly true, its still far better compared to anywhere else on the planet. Americans dont seem to understand that whether theyre educated or not or what field they work in that if they leave america then their salary will drop by half if not to a third of what theyre currently making with much harsher tax rates on top of that. They truly dont seem to understand how little you are payed working anywhere else in the world, it just doesnt register with them. They hear that european countries have shitty work benefits and think thats a good thing but dont understand that americans earn so much money that they can buy for themselves any benefit that a euro government hands out and still have more money at the end of the month than a european worker

In Brazil we have public health-care, its the biggest piece of shit ever, the government steals your money via taxes, saying that they're gonna invest in the health-care, but in the end they just embezzle 85%. If this shit didn't existed and the government didn't steal our money for this shit, everyone would be able to afford a good health-care, everything that is public will have a bad service because their customer isn't you, their customer is the government, the government pays their salary, so they don't have any incentive to do a good service and treat the customer well, it won't matter if they provide treatment to 10 or 1000 people, it won't affect their salary.
