Bad friends

Why do I have friends that lie or ignore me? Like I had one say he would message me later but never did and I saw he was hanging out with friends that I used to also hang with alot. This also happened when he lied to me saying he was hanging with his girl but then did stuff with the rest of the group. He only really hangs with me when nobody else is there. Why is this?? Just wanted to talk about it
