Bad post-injection soreness after starting TRT. Should I switch to subq?

I am writing this with an excruciating pain in my ass from my injection, even after taking Pregab and Tylenol. I tried to go shallow im ventrogluteal 0.5cc with a 29g 1/2 inch. Not sure if it worked, but it definitely hurts. My current dosing is 262mg/week pinned eod either in the ventroglutial site or the deltoids, which is 0.3cc.

My question is, should I switch to pinning subq to avoid this pain, or can I expect my muscles not to be sore after I have continued my protocol for some time? Apparently, with 0.3cc, I would be ok for subq, but I also don't want a bunch of unsightly lumps.

Because if I have to deal with this soreness continuing all the time, I would rather just hop off the test.

You could try subq, just try how it feels. Just make sure to rotate injection sites. I like glutes and Abs

Possible, but unfortunately these are my first couple of injections so I have nothing to compare it to
