HOW TO GROW YOUR EYELASHES
I’ve tried multiple methods for growing my eyelashes. Some have worked great, while others have been terrible. I’m going to go through some basic and more advanced ways to grow your eyelashes and rate each one based on my experience. This is my first post so lemme know how I did!!!!
WHY DO EYELASHES MATTER?
Eyelashes are a big part of appeal. If you’re trying to go for a more appeal-focused look, growing out your eyelashes can really help bring the whole look together.
Longer and fuller eyelashes can make your eyes stand out more, make the eye area look better, and overall make your face look more attractive.

METHOD 1: CASTOR OIL
Rating: 1/10Castor oil is BS.
There isn’t good evidence that castor oil makes your eyelashes grow faster or longer. What it can do is coat and moisturize your lashes, which may reduce breakage and make them look darker, shinier, or slightly fuller.
That can give the appearance of better eyelashes, but it gives 0 growth.

METHOD 2: BIOTIN
Rating: 2/10Biotin is probably one of the most overhyped supplements for hair growth. If you are actually deficient in biotin, then taking it can help your hair and eyelashes grow healthier. But if you already get enough biotin, taking a bunch more probably isn’t going to make your eyelashes grow any longer.
It might help a little with overall hair health, but don’t expect crazy results from it.
METHOD 3: TOPICAL MINOXIDIL
Rating: 3/10Topical minoxidil can promote hair growth, but using it around your eyelashes is difficult and risky.
The biggest problem is that minoxidil is hard to apply. If you mess up, it goes into your eyes and burnssss. If you want to apply it still, I would suggest getting an eyebrow brush and coating it in minoxidil, then applying it to the base of the eyelash. The results are very good, it’s just hard.
I’ve gotten minoxidil in my eye multiple times, and it stings like crazy.
Because of how close the eyelashes are to the eye, I personally don’t think the risk and difficulty are worth it.
METHOD 4: PEPTIDE LASH SERUMS
Rating: 6/10This is currently one of my favorite options.
Peptide lash serums are easy to get over the counter, easy to apply and generally much lower risk than some of the stronger methods on this list.
They can help improve the appearance, thickness, and possibly length of your eyelashes over time.
I personally use a peptide lash serum because it’s simple and convenient. The results probably won’t be as dramatic as something like Latisse, but it’s a much easier option.
METHOD 5: ORAL MINOXIDIL
Rating: 9/10Oral minoxidil can cause some pretty dramatic increases in eyelash growth. It’s supppper good. Only downside is it’s just hard to get your hands on. If you can get it, I would 100% recommend it.
METHOD 6: LATISSE
Rating: 9/10Latisse is probably the strongest option on this list specifically for eyelashes.
The active ingredient is bimatoprost, which actually changes the eyelash growth cycle and can make lashes grow longer, thicker, and darker.
The results can be extremely noticeable.
There are some concerns about prostaglandin-related changes to the tissue around the eyes, including possible loss of volume around the upper eyelid in some people.
I know some people say you will be fine but with my luck I will fuck it up.
HONORABLE MENTION: GHK-Cu
Rating: ?/10There has been a lot of internet discussion about whether GHK-Cu can support hair growth.
Copper peptides are involved in several biological processes related to skin and hair follicles, so there is at least a theoretical reason people are interested in them.
However, there currently isn’t strong evidence showing that GHK-Cu will significantly grow your eyelashes.
Im getting on GHK-CU next week so Ill update this one depending on how it goes.
HONORABLE MENTION: FIXING DEFICIENCIES
Rating: ?/10This one completely depends on whether you are actually deficient in something. Things like iron, zinc, vitamin D, protein, and certain B vitamins can affect hair growth if you aren’t getting enough of them.
If you have a deficiency and fix it, you could notice your eyelashes becoming healthier, thicker, and growing better. But if your levels are already normal, taking extra vitamins probably isn’t going to do much.
So this one can either be super helpful or basically useless depending on your diet and nutrient levels.
