But to answer the question in the OP. People find out, and the amount of work, effort, annoyance and cost is too much.

You'll need some thick skin to withstand the mocking you'll endure.

When you do get involved with a girl long term you'll have to tell her as you can't keep it a secret forever and at that point there's a very good chance it will turn her off - most women are very judgemental and shallow.

Honestly need to find the right timeline and school break to fraud it.
I can’t be bald one day and then have a full head of hair next.
