overIt won't be locked, people can discuss the bans
Usually reasons of bans aren't revealed to people, other than the one getting banned, on forums. In fact even on Incels this is typically the case. I don't know any forum that explains the bans publicly the way I do. The reason I was giving out the reasons was to let everyone know why a user was banned so that people don't make the same mistake and don't think the ban was unfair.
But users haven't appreciated this. Instead some users have made a mockery of this. Misinformation has been spread at times, other times people don't even research the reasons of bans of other users well and have started debates. I have spent a lot of times just explaining bans of user X to user Y, sometimes more than once.
Also if someone is banned there will be some people who think it is fair, others will think it is not. There would always be a conflict and I can't keep on explaining this to everyone. So I have decided to stop explaining the bans.
At the same time, as some users said in the recent feedback thread, I will try to enforce temp bans more rather than permabans. So let us say the bar of permabans would be higher.
