Well, they aren't repressed for the fact that they are allowed to be a part of the forum. They can safely state their sexual orientation without getting banned, thus enjoying the same benefits all other heterosexual members receive by being allowed into the community.

Also, this is a looksmaxing forum at the end of the day, where heterosexuality is the norm, by far. Due to its representation and presence on the forum, it only makes sense that virtually all content is viewed through a heterosexual lens. Heterosexual behaviour is allowed because its the norm.

And by heterosexual behaviour/content I'm not referring to the same sexually explicit internet material you are referring to, this is not allowed either in most cases and it usually gets deleted too.

Ultimately it remains a fact that they are STILL repressed in all possible ways, with the masquerade of political correctness allowing you to state your gay preference (which is useless for anyone looksmaxxing by the way).

It's also a fact that this is not only a looksmaxxing forum but is also blend with incel and blackpill communities that (openly) gay guys won't agree with or fully understand, given the own nature of being an openly gay man and that their perceptions can be completely different!.

It would be more respectful for those individuals to be told: there's no issue with anyone's sexuality but the nature of this community isn't fit for gay individuals, and you're encouraged to have your own! rather than being here refraining themselves from posting posting any gay content or they, by rule, could potentially be banned instantly. Look, nobody forces them to come here. You come here by choice, and if anyone feels 'repressed' here, that is also their choice to feel that way. This is, in fact, a looksmaxing community (sure, it also covers some other ideologies, but that doesn't change much), not a gay community. Yet, we allow all men to join, regardless of their sexual orientation.
They can join and participate at any given time. No repression there.

However, they have to accept that the dominant culture here is formed by heterosexuals and heterosexuality in general. And if they disagree with that, that's fine. But then don't complain about getting bullied or whatever, because they should know what they're getting themselves into.

Besides, it may actually be a huge generalization to state that non-heterosexual males cannot adapt to this community or the culture that it represents. I'm sure there are non-heterosexual users out there who are fine with it and have adapted just fine. After all, they wouldn't come here otherwise.

This is the only reason why I'm replying back again. I did not ever make such generalization! I'm very well aware of the fact of some gay and heterosexual men being here. That's why in all my posts I mention openly gay men.

And here's the reasoning behind it:

There has always been gay people here but that gay people are interested in the looksmaxxing advice that we (had been used to) share here meant for men who want to look as masculine as possible, something that someone who publicly admits to be gay will not care about, as they take pride on being and looking gay.

A woman won't have sex or find sexually attractive a guy she thinks looks gay, so no matter how dedicated this person is to looksmax, there will tend to exist different ideals and results to look forward between openly gay dudes and other men.

Secondly we cannot just pretend that this is solely a looksmaxxing forum. There are clear and strong associations with incels and the blackpill culture. How can a man who doesn't care about being gay publicly agree with the views shared on this forum? If you look gay and you don't care about this because you accept yourself the way you are and it doesn't matter what people think then you don't understand or agree with lookism or the blackpill.

The way the forum used to be served as a filter so we all look forward the same thing and without it there will be conflicts of ideals, specially if the amount of those men were to significantly increase , completely changing the nature of this forum.

This was evidently a poorly made decision attempting to be inclusive of openly gay men not realizing that it's gonna be considered to be dishonest for most gay people, something that can be verified if I were to the create a thread asking the user Win200, who is an openly gay man.

So far I don't have any particular issue with the way things have been for the past days, so I be dropping this topic.
I want to clear up that I'm not homophobic JFL anyone who reads my posts knows it and I usually advocate for them, I am one of the most gay accepting people on this forum in many ways, but not this one because as a user from this forum I want the site to be as good as possible and in my opinion this update can potentially change that.
