the statement is almost self-evident. If you actively try to look bad, you will. Just pulling your mandible back as far as you can, opening the mouth, making your eyes as big as possible and messing up your hair a bit will do the trick for 99% of people.

But maybe you're thinking about a scenario in which someone ISN'T trying to look bad necessarily, but still does. And to prove I would use palvin's picture. If I had only seen that pic of her, I wouldn't have guessed in a million years how gl she was.
