Bankim basically fake "money owed to me" papers (receivables) using Photoshop + random number generators, then made fake email websites to prove big telecoms owed him cash. BlackRock lent $430M against those fakes, never checked the emails were real until July of this year before it was already too late. Bankim had already wired the cash to secret islands, locked the office, and filed bankruptcy the same day and left with all that money.
