Yeah the europeans always reported that even the old natives had good teeth, straight and usually had them all still in when they died. The natural lifestyle really is better than farming and eating grains and sugars that are no good for development and fuck up your teeth

I would imagine its sort of both. They had the tradition, but most traditions are informed for some reason, and they probably saw that mouth breathing kids always ended up worse than the ones that breathed through their nose

yeah its probably a mix of both but I think the natives were very low iq to notice something like that. They were fooled by whites quite easily
