Buju Banton made Boom Bye Bye in the 90’s and caught a lot of blacklash from it but it was a pretty popular dance song among Afro-Caribbean peoples. The whole song is about killing homosexuals (“battys”). He caught a decade year prison sentence some years later.



MJ got a lot of blacklash from his original version of They Don’t Care About Us. I wonder why MJ was labeled a chomo after this, huh. A few lyrics in the song were called “antisemitic”.
