I went to this Michelin star Restraunt in NYC with 3 other buddies and the bill was a good 250$ +

They served this flavoured rice with spiced all mixed well along with 3 whole

boiled and fried eggs along with tiny cut veggies and onion rings. It’s called Biryani. It was served in a clay pot like material, if I’m not wrong that’s originally where it’s cooked somehow. Its nothing like the “curry” 90% of Indian food is and after this whole meal of some 1600kcal ish I was about to burst. Worth the price and definitely top 5 best meals I’ve had this year :ogre:

I like the kebab places which are run by Indian dudes the meat has like masala spice on it then grilled and put in bread cooked in a tandor oven. Fucking smacks

when people mock indian food, they refer to indian street food, not the actual dishes you find at restaurants

I've been to 6 Michelin restaurants none were worth the money, good cooking and refinement but lacking that real pop of flavour. River cafe was my favorite but still overpriced

Indian food is good. The reason many think it’s bad is that in India, only the clips of unhealthy street vendors/restaurants get displayed. There are high quality venders and restaurants even in India. No one cares to upload them because it doesn’t get clicks.

It's not wrong, it's the same but has a slightly different seasoning on it, also the bread done in a tandor oven can't be beat.

I've had great ones done by Turks and Arabs and great ones done by Indians.

There's about a million kebab shops in London not difficult to find good ones.
