basic shit for people just starting skin care
(absolute water water methods)
If you want to look better your skin is a place to start. It does not matter if you have a jawline or pretty eyes. If your skin has lots of acne is always greasy or has red marks, that is what people usually notice first. On the hand clear skin makes your face look healthy and clean and it even makes your features stand out more. Lots of people worry about things they cannot change. They do not do anything about their skin, which is one of the easiest things to improve.
Before you buy lots of skincare products because someone on TikTok said they are good you should figure out what kind of skin you have. Everyones skin is different. If you use the wrong products they can make your skin worse instead of better.
If your face gets shiny a few hours after you wash it on your forehead, nose and chin you probably have oily skin. If your skin feels tight after you wash your face or it gets flaky during the day it is probably skin. Lots of people have combination skin, which means their forehead, nose and chin get oily. Their cheeks are normal or dry. Some people also have skin, which means some products can make their skin red, sting or irritate it. When you know what kind of skin you have it is easier to choose products that're right for you.
The basics of taking care of your skin are actually pretty simple. You do not need to do lots of things or buy products. Most people can get results by just doing a few important things every day.
# Morning Routine
The first thing you should do every morning is wash your face with a soap. While you sleep your skin still makes oil and sweat so washing your face helps get rid of that without hurting your skin. Try to use water instead of hot water because hot water can dry out your skin and make it red. Spend 30 seconds rubbing the soap into your skin then rinse it off.
After you wash your face use a moisturizer. Lots of people with skin do not use moisturizer because they think it will make their skin even oilier but that is a mistake. When your skin gets too dry it tries to make oil, which can make it worse. A good moisturizer keeps your skin healthy stops irritation and helps your skin deal with products. Ingredients like ceramides, glycerin, hyaluronic acid and panthenol are all good for keeping your skin hydrated.
The last thing you should do in the morning is put on sunscreen. If you only buy one skincare product it should be sunscreen. The suns rays can hurt your skin make you look older and cause acne marks to last longer. Even if you do not get sunburned easily the sun is still hurting your skin. You should use sunscreen with SPF 30. Spf 50 is even better if you are outside a lot. Make sure you put it on your ears, neck and around your eyes because people often forget those places.
## Night Routine
At night your routine is similar. You focus on fixing your skin instead of protecting it.
Wash your face again to get rid of all the oil, dirt, sweat and sunscreen that built up during the day. If you wore sunscreen, makeup or were outside, for a long time you might need to wash your face twice. First use a soap that dissolves oil then use a regular soap to wash everything away.
Once your skin is clean you can use products to help your skin. Lots of skincare experts make it seem like you need lots of products but you usually only need a few that really work for your skin. You do not need to buy every product that's popular online just find a few that help your skin and use them every day.
