everyone makes fun of bass players cuz they dont do anything, cuz most bass songs are a joke. the problem however is that there a 1% of bass that ARE NOT jokes and unless you cant play them noon will respect you.

its so deceivingly easy when you start and you can play grooves straight of the bat. and when you go down the rabbit hole you realize you are complete dogshit. the stupid pentatonic runs at a Samba rythm in Havona, some coked up slaps Flea does, that stuff is brutal and you realize that this is what only matters. guitar is suprisingly more basic, good luck figuring out what fingers to use in bass. i have changed my approach around 15 times and it stil doesnt work.
