I have light brown skin (like a mulatto -- East African pheno) and its prone to bad hyperpigmentation. I only get breakouts like once a month, but the hyperpigmentation after they leave lasts at least 3 months legit. I bought a bottle of BB Cream and it completely hides my scarring, and its not obvious at all that you're wearing it
