The thing that helps you make fast gains is your genetics, you should be in a calories surplus 300 calories higher than your maintenance, you should consume 1.5 grams of protein per every kg that you have on your body, you should do compound lifts ( lifts that train multiple muscles of your body instead of one, good compound lifts are squats or deadlifts), you should have a good programme i recommend the jason blaha 2.0 split but instead of 3 days a week do it 5 times and instead of 3 sets of 5 do 5 sets of 5, you should do progressive overload which is adding slightly more weight everything you hit the the gym in increments of 0.25 kg and thats it.true

just doing the typical exercises, around 65% free weight and 35% machines
