Beard/Goatee or Clean shaven?

I've seen that beard Is a very good way to Hide Ur chin if you're recessed like me, although i look decent from the front and have a good face structure/jaw shape. I have prettyboy-ish pheno so when i don't shave i look pretty bad, but that would help me to Hide my recession. What would be Better? I'll fix my recession anyway in 2 years max.
