Beard growth, some questions

I have a very patchy beard that doesn't seem to fill out some spot no matter how long I let it grow.
Right now I'm taking biotin supplements since I've read it might enhance beard growth.
I'm also applying Peppermint oil, both in my beard and eyebrows.

1)Is there any anecdotal evidence here that Peppermint oil actually work?

2)If so, are there any specific rules I should follow in order to maximize my beard growth?

3)what are other proven ways to enhance beard growth?

Ok, go take a photo of your half naked sister first and then take a photo of the box and post them here so that I can judge if it's something worth buying or not.
