If you are realistically in the top 0.1% with your jawline and hollow cheeks, heavy stubbles or an even longer beard are a downgrade because they hide your features.

Henry Cavill
1592909209627
1592909220484
Baptiste Giabiconi

A beard that is "heavy stubbles" or above will hurt your jawline and checks and actually decrease the definition of your face.
However, even if you have an extremely strong jaw and cheeks, LIGHT stubble will work very well:

1592909478326
1592909450298
John Kortajarena
It does NOT soften the shape of the jaw and cheeks but adds masculinity. This only applies IF you can grow a full, thick stubble like John. Patchy bullshit may decrease you.
1592909604309
Jorge del Rio (has no picture without light stubble)
1592909817897
1592909861126
Ian Sommerhalder

If you have a Jaw in the Bottom 95%, heavy stubble may even work better than light stubble since you can hide a lot of problems with a contoured beard.

Summary:
If you are in the top 1% of jawline and hollow cheeks => shave or go with light stubble ( if you can grow a full beard)
If you are in the top 1-5%, it may depend. But Light stubble may be better than shaven
If you are in the top 80%, go with heavy stubbles
If you are in the bottom 20%, go with an even longer beard to hide your problems in the lower third.

Thanks for the kind feedback, guys!
The reason for this topic was: I ascended slightly through a light jaw surgery a month ago.
Before I rocked heavy stubbles to disguise my weak jaw. But after the surgery, the heavy stubbles didn't make so much sense anymore. I was so proud to have a decent jawline that hiding it defeats the purpose. On the other hand, the cleanshaven look didnt work too well on tinder.
That is why I thought about the best combination in most cases. It may be obvious for some, but took me some time to get. Besides, i wanted to end the debate "cleanshaven is better than beard" because it depends.

I'm thinking about it. But since I'm fortunately not a looser in my basement, I have more to risk jobwise etc :p.
Will still update you guys and share newly gained knowledge!

What do you say about Henry Cavill then?
I thought that, too. But his case was strange to mee

you may be right!

the real BLACKPILL is: if you are young, its very hard to ascend
and if you are old it is easier?

But I agree, it is nearly impossible to make drastic changes in most cases.

yeah. its easier. you are taken more seriously. the baby face has most likely disappeared. and you can already have a beard.
the beard is very important, since it solves the biggest problem for the appearance of a man: the lower third (jaw and chin). When you are young you depend exclusively on your face since you do not have any status (neither social nor economic).

Maybe @The_God means its easier to grow a beard/stubble if you're older
I keep forgetting a good majority of users here are teens and have a hard time with facial hair
