I went to paris once to visit a cousin, literally one of the worst places I have ever visited in my life.

Trash everywhere, touristic areas filled with pickpockets and scammers, everyone is rude, traffic jam 24/7, smell of pee in every corner.

Thankfully his family in law had a little house in Normandy, stayed there for 3 days and it was very nice.
