NW2 is by definition male pattern baldness. If your hairline recedes even marginally, you are balding, regardless of the magnitude of the recession.
That being said, most men will reach the genetically predetermined pattern. Starting to bald earlier means that you'll likely develop a more advanced balding pattern, but it's far from certain.
Some men bald early, like in their early 20s, go to NW2 or even NW3, and keep the same hairline till they are senior citizens.
Some men start balding later in life, like in their 30s, and within a decade they have advanced significantly.
Routine checkups and taking pictures every few months is a must.
