Sleep and nutrition will only help during your young years; after that, it's mostly up to your genetics. Dennis Rodman had a growth spurt from 5'7" to 6'8" between the ages of 19 and 21. You should take everything seriously, and if you want to take HGH, do it with a professional's help, because your recommended dosage is much better than a random dosage you see on the internet. It will grow you if your giving your body the right amount.
