You think pilot, doctor and policemen are the highest status jobs that you can achieve through a normal career path? For actor or other statusmaxxes you mostly need luck and looks tbh.
But for pilot, doctor or policemen you just need to be determined.

It used to be back in the 1960s-1970s during the golden age of flying, after economy airlines appeared, and flying became cheaper and relatively normal, being a pilot stopped being a huge status, the salaries decreased, the workload increased, the perks and bonuses got worse, etc...

It used to be. More and more foids are on to the fact that commerical airliers fly themselves and pilots are glorified bus drivers, and pilots don't get near the elite tier wages they used to.
