I remember 2 years ago when i was watching a surgery in the hospital as a nurse, the female anesthesiologist legit just sat there 90% of the surgery and was playing games on her phone and getting payed very good money.
Imagine browsing looksmax for hours every day after just 30 minutes of putting the anesthetic :lul::lul:, the thought makes me cage ngl

It's legit tbh. You get paid huge sums of money because 'you have huge responsibility and could kill people with a wrong dosage'

But in reality when you actually kill someone this way, you get a slap on the wrist, at worst you get fired. Aka 0 repercussions.

Can't wait till this whole economy collapses and they defund fraudulent this entire fraudulent heatlhcare system in the netherlands.

That happens extremely rarely, you study it for years just to be 100% good at the job. Never heard of an anesthesiologist in my country killing a person

Imagine having complications during surgery because of anesthesia and the anesthesiologist plays games on the phone....

This sounds so implausible because your heart rate will skyrocket and the doctor will notice something is off instantly and give the patient amnestics and analgetics

Not if he's playing PUBG Mobile or whatever doctors play these days on their phones...
Also, the main purpose of anesthesia is that the patient won't move during surgery, not feeling pain is secondary, some doctors really don't give a shit.

There are nurses there as well, well atleast in a good hospital, so even if the anesthesiologist is on his phone the nurses would immediately notice the big increase of blood pressure in the patient and put him on strong opioids and amnestics

Yeah, the nurses do just what the doctor orders them to do, they can't go over him, and will be immediately put in their place if they try to correct him, pretty much all doctors are very arrogant and can't stand to be contradicted or corrected...

Thats false cause its not the surgeons job to monitor the signals from the patient, its literally the job of the nurses and secondary to the anesthesiologist. He isn't being corrected, its the anesthesiologist who is and he immediately goes to clear the problem up

The surgeon does his job, the anesthesiologist his job, the nurses do what they are told - give instruments, wipe the sweat from their heads, get coffee, etc. If a nurse would try to warn the anesthesiologist the discussion would go kinda like this:

Nurse: Ummm...doctor...the patient heart rate is rising...
Anesthesiologist(playing on his phone): Can't you see I'm busy...?!
Nurse: Yeah, but I think you should look at this...
Anesthesiologist: What, everything looks fine to me...
Nurse: Doctor.....his vitals suggest he might be conscious...
Anesthesiologist: I'm sorry, are you a doctor and I don't know, do you have a diploma in anesthesiology?
Nurse: No, but...
Anesthesiologist: Then shut the fuck up and let me do my job, while you do your job!

I had these kind of discussion many times with doctors when trying to understand the reason for their diagnosis, treatment, the way they interpreted test results, etc... I also had a panic attack during a surgery with local anesthesia and was treated like it's all my fault if the surgery would fail...
