Voice keeps deepening past puberty though, I am 30 and watched a video me from 6 years ago my voice was notably higher pitch there. Think this process can slowly take place for a long time during adulthood, not 100% over necessarily.

This has happened to me without roids noticably when I watch old recordings of me from 6 years ago to now at 30. When you think about it guys 40-50 years old sound different on average from 20-30 year olds.

nothing would happen except having a raspy voice that cracks

smoking does not reliably make your voice deeper

the perceived "deeper" sound for the smaller percentage of people is from vocal inflammation and swelling

if you were on the luckier side for your voice to get deeper (far less common result) it would still be overpowered by the raspiness and an unreliable phonation (not being able to speak in clear sentences without your voice cracking)
