Seeing as he never really went on to kill any babies, it's likely he really was joking. Perhaps that's why the teachers and students brushed off his comments as a joke.

Being socially awkward and strange doesn't automatically make one an autist. Let's put it this way: All autists are socially awkward and strange, yet not everyone who's socially awkward and strange is autistic.

My autism is pretty mild. A mild case of autism is still autism, however.

As for the biggest area where I differ from the guy in my story: My inability to read cues.

He could read cues; he was just off kilter.

Additionally, I had a hard time talking at all in high school (I would stumble over my words). Go figure, a guy who said he wanted to kill babies was somehow viewed more positively than a guy who merely stumbled over his words.

Another difference between us is the fact autists lack facial expressions.

Another key area I should mention where I differ from him (and this ties in with my comment about how he could at least read cues):

Despite being strange and socially awkward, he was at least neurotypical enough he knew how to read the room (in terms of knowing whether the audience would be receptive to his joke, knowing when to give it a rest, etc)

He must have picked up on some type of cue from teachers/students to where he knew they'd brush off his baby-killing comments as "just a funny joke"

When I'd try to joke around in high school, my autism led to all sorts of problems.

For one, I couldn't read the room well enough to know whether the audience was in the mood for my joke.

Additionally, even if they laughed, I didn't know if they were laughing with me or at me.

Furthermore, even if they initially found my joke funny, my autism prevented me from knowing when it became time to give it a rest.

With my good looks, and the mildness of my autism, I went through a stretch in college where I got the occasional free sex with foids I met online. A severely autistic guy couldn't do that.

Yet at my current age (33), I'm an escortcel. And even in college, the mere fact I had to sink to online methods (because I couldn't get laid by foids I met organically through school) shows how different I am than neurotypical dudes.
