the cognitive and expressive facets of empathy in people with autism tend to be diminished, they aren't really capable of relating to you in the traditional sense so this makes them a bit awkward to be around in social activities that involve a lot of talking, it's not really an issue if you're doing more physical activities i.e hiking, or kayaking (these are just random examples), it's not hard to be friends with autists, you just have to see them as the type of friend you do fun activities with, rather than chill, they aren't good with casual humor because all jokes go completely over their head, this isn't because they don't have it.

I posted the study above, it's the same for schizophrenia and they're likely going to find similar results in order neurological variants, their entire perception is essentially different from that of a normal person their entire lives, so what makes sense to them doesn't make any sense to others, it's not 'dreamy' to them because they never experience anything else, this makes it hard for them to see anything from anyone else's perspective, and while some aspects of empathy and other emotions are diminished, they experience those they've got left more vividly as well which makes for a weird combination.

autism is commonly mistaken for a neurological disorder, but within doing this it's forgotten that the brain affects all other aspects of your body, the entire physiology of someone with it is essentially affected, it's not a kink in their brain, it's their guts, it's their muscles, it's their metabolic system.

Date an ugly girl that will overlook your personality, and practice and develop love and empathy for her. Make friends with people who will overlook your personality, old people, disabled people, gamers, some incels, D&D players, etc. and practice empathy for them. You can get sex, but if you want to develop social skills and empathy you have to get over your ego and start from the bottom.

As far as giving your brain the potential to develop empathy, health max and reduce artificial stimulus and give your self space to relax. My younger brother is hot and austistic. 6’4 naturally a muscular great eye area and decently wide jaw. But he has crippling Asperger’s. He has trouble making friends and hasn’t had his first kiss.

Having Asperger’s = being a 3/10 to women. I’d rather be a 4 (which I already am) than have Asperger’s.
