All the old obese alcohol-addicted construction workers who are getting no sleep don’t have this problem. Even those who are more recessed… even those who are even more downswung. You have to be born with that. Nobody hires you because they think you’re addicted to opioids and are irresponsible. There’s no need to hire you because there are hundreds of people waiting in line to get the same job who don’t have veins under their eyes.
You take good care of yourself and give it your all trying to be nice to people, but it doesn’t matter.
People your age still get legitimately scared of you and the worst thing is that you look normal from the distance so the behaviour always changes only AFTER they see you from a close-up during your first personal interaction.
It makes you avoid them like fire, because it always feels so embarrassing, even despite being naturally quite confident. It’s sad.
You are left wandering the world around with the cursed mark under your eyes which makes you a human basilisk. You are left with the thoughts of what could’ve been if you didn’t have a clogged nose during your childhood, but it’s too late now to do anything either way.
You’ll remain a monster until your final breath - a breath which you’ve been awaiting for years already at this fairly young age.
