This doesn't even make sense, why would being religious lower your IQ? lol. If it influences anything, it only increases it, because you'll have to study, know the stories of the Bible, understand the logic of your religion, know the history of your religion in history, etc.

There are dozens of examples of religious and highly articulate people. Many great scientists were religious.
