besides being poor, retarded or malformed, being short just makes social realtionships 10 times harder, from the moment they see you their respect for you is half of what they would have for an average height male, they think of you as weak, childish, agressive, ridiculous and overall less human than others.
Norah vincent disguised herself as a man for a year to experience what it was like to live as a male, what she didnt take into account is she would be living as a male with the hieght of a woman (i couldnt find her exact height but im sure she wasnt 6'+) she wouldnt be seen as a man she would be seen as a child, she ended up commiting suicide, make of that as you will.
Everyday you are reminded that you are seen as inferior by everyone taller than you, 80% of people you meet will see you as nothing more than the asumption they have of you. A comic relief, a jester for their entertainment.
you must do everything in you power to either be or at least appear taller than you actually are.
