The more I try and get into action sports the more I realize how difficult it is for those 6 foot tall and over. This is why almost ALL gold medalist/champions of the action sports world are under 6 foot. Having a lower center of gravity, weight, and stockier limbs = essential for combined flips, spins, and trick combos, all of which are essential for competition or even being recognized in 2026.

Nowadays the geometry of bikes, understanding of takeoff angles, G-force, and private training compounds have exponentially increased the skill ceiling to a level never thought possible. They've already landed the quadruple backflip, they've already landed the triple frontflip, and they've already landed the 1440. Anything past these is flirting with biomechanical limits, there really is a point where we can't go any further, and we're going to reach it pretty soon.

If you don't meet the physical requirements to plant or even attempt one of these, you may as well throw in the towel and accept you can never live up to your childhood dreams of being an action sports icon.

So if you're a depressed shortcel, get your manlet ass on a bike and start hucking. The amount of praise, status, and money that comes from these things is legendary. Almost makes me wish I was a little bit shorter, I'm dead serious.
