Lot of factors that go into that but it’s mainly inhibition and cognitive function, and as someone who is above average (not saying I’m some 150 IQ chad genius) it’s definitely helpful, that’s actually where “good humor” comes from, it’s not about knowing funny jokes it’s about saying something relative to the situation with good delivery, and you look intelligent, it’s definitely a plus
