That’s because neither of those groups are of the same tribe. If they confederates it would end up like the Balkans or Africa where every ethnicity hates eachother and fights for Power. The tribe difference is a very delicate manner. It could go well and bad. UAE for example has several emirates and Qatar was going to be part of it but decided not to (And would have been the richest emirate probably, more than Dubai and Abu Dhabi).

But you have cases like Iraq where drawn lines plus actual BIG differences plus economic instability will knock them out. With stability and money it becomes much easier for everyone to assimilate.

Yeah. The Ukraine stuff is a great example now that you mention it. Completely invented country to divide Russia. They planed to do the same with Dagestan, Chechenia, etc, i think there was a US plan some decades ago that was aiming to divide Russia in 9 parts.

I dont know. Its very complicated. I agree with the first premise but i dont believe it should be divided by genetics since it is a waste of very great potential. The first genetic groups to overcome their differences would dominate easily over the rest.

I also agree that the idea of the nation state is ridiculous.
