What are the benefits of a high LF1 compared to a standard LF1 in terms of aesthetic outcome?

Also since the high LF1 osteotomy extends into the cheekbone area, is it still possible to combine it with cheek-infraorbital implants?

Thank you.

PS: My case would involve a maxillary advancement with a CW rotation (not CCW).

If you are lacking paranasal fullness then you could benefit from a high Le Fort 1 to atleast bring you some more paranasal fullness compared to the regular Le Fort 1 which is a cut done much lower down. Neither the high Le Fort 1 och regular Le Fort 1 extends to the zygomatic bone so alterations to the cheek area with implants should be possible.

For high Le Fort 1 it's basically right next to the zygomatic bone so I would think that most surgeons would avoid altering the cheek bones in the procedure because of plates and screws that could get in the way. I am not 100% sure on this tho.
