"100% Islamic" is an oversimplification. Empires are complex entities, and the Ottomans were no exception. Firstly Islamists,Nationalists and secularists all get the Ottoman Empire wrong.

claiming it was '100% Islamic' ignores centuries of complex history. Political pragmatism, economic realities, and the administration of a vast, diverse population. Also all the wars the Ottomans fought against muslim countries and the large christian population the empire had.
