So u might see this thread and scoff, however the way u walk affects posture, spine and later back related problems and nerve issues like scitica. The way ur feet absorbs impact is super important and our feet have been crafted through evolution to offer this. However we need shoes, but modern shoes are like mittens instead of gloves diminishing our natural power, goyslop shoes. Barefoot shoes are the answer to this.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0966636215004993?via=ihub this study is a extensive review of effects of barefeet walking vs wearing shoes.
"Highlights
•
Footwear can constrict the structure and function of the foot.
•
Short and long term use of footwear affects the kinematics and kinetics of gait.
•
Habitual barefoot walkers show considerable anatomical and functional differences.
•
Differences in gait mechanics observed between different age groups.
•
Research required in older age to understand effect of footwear across the lifespan." qouted from the study
" Furthermore there was a reduced drop between vertical GRF peaks, suggesting that forces were distributed throughout the stance period more when barefoot as opposed to a greater initial impulse followed by a reduction in force prior to a secondary steep rise to the second peak GRF. This is similar to that suggested by D’Août et al. [27] from the plantar pressure data in the habitually barefoot participants. This indicates that acute and long term exposure to barefoot walking changes the kinematics and associated kinetics such that forces are spread more evenly over time. This is also consistent with barefoot running literature whereby a smooth force profile is observed when running barefoot"
dumbed down force is more even spread when ur barefoot or wearing barefoot shoes.
"A reduction in the hip extensor, hip flexor and knee varus moments in the early stance phase were observed when walking barefoot [20], [23] which was contrasted by an increase in the knee flexor moment [20]. The authors suggest that these differences in joint moments are likely to be the result of the reduction in stride length"
this is the kicker, the ultimate benifit, less strain and stress overall on other body parts.
Now im tired and imma stop ts, ill make a feetmaxxing guide one day, to become superhuman.
