Yin J, et al., Efficacy of berberine in patients with type 2 diabetes (2008, pilot RCT, PMC full text)
Berberine (0.5 g three times daily ≈ 1.5 g/day) significantly lowered fasting glucose, postprandial glucose, HbA1c and improved HOMA-IR over 3 months vs baseline; GI side effects were the most common adverse events.

Zhang Y, et al., Berberine lowers blood glucose in type 2 diabetes mellitus (Metabolism, 2010)
Randomized trial(s) reporting significant reductions in FPG, HbA1c, insulin and triglycerides with berberine; proposed mechanisms include increased insulin receptor expression and AMPK activation

Dong H., et al., Berberine in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (Systematic review/meta-analysis, 2012).
Pooled evidence suggested berberine improves glycemic control and lipids, but authors caution about low methodological quality, small sample sizes and potential bias in the included trials.

so yes, berberine really does lower blood glucose
would mean a lot if you marked this as the solution btw :feelscry:

berberine can slightly lower IGF-1

ceylon cinnamon (true cinnamon, cinnamomum verum) can modestly help lower blood glucose
what would you recommend to take with mk677 to help with insuline sensitivity?
