stop waiting for your life to magically become different.

you won't suddenly wake up one morning with unlimited confidence, motivation, money, discipline and zero problems.

if you keep waiting until you feel ready, you can waste years waiting.

start before you're ready.

you're going to make mistakes. you're going to embarrass yourself. some people won't like you. some things you try will fail.

that's normal.

don't let the possibility of failure become an excuse for never trying.

also, don't destroy yourself trying to become someone you're not.

improve yourself, but don't turn your entire life into a competition against everyone around you.

there will always be someone better at something.

someone smarter.

someone richer.

someone more talented.

someone who got lucky.

you cannot win every comparison, so stop making comparison the goal.

focus on becoming better than the person you were yesterday.

take care of your body.

learn useful things.

choose your friends carefully.

treat people well, but don't live for their approval.

learn to say no.

learn to walk away from situations that constantly make your life worse.

don't take every thought you have seriously.

your brain can be wrong.

you can feel worthless without actually being worthless.

you can feel like everyone hates you when nobody is thinking about you.

you can feel like you're behind in life when you're actually just following a different timeline.

feelings are real, but they aren't always facts.

and don't forget to actually live.

don't spend your entire youth obsessing over becoming a perfect version of yourself.

go outside.

play sports.

laugh with your friends.

try stupid hobbies.

make memories.

fail at things.

have conversations.

experience life.

you don't get those years back.

at the end of the day, you don't need to become perfect.

you just need to become someone you're proud of.

start now. learn as you go. stop comparing your entire life to somebody else's highlight reel.
