From my experience, I have come to find that there are only a few good options that are great for lowering social inhibition.

Here is my breakdown -

Phenibut 3/10

Firstly I tried phenibut Hydrochloride taking it at 1-3 grams.

Phenibut is almost useless for anxiety, at least for me.

Firstly its Oral Bioavailability is dogshit due to it's prohibitive stomach absorption rate, it's essentially required to be on an empty stomach (AND I MEAN EMPTY) like first thing in the morning additionally ideally not eating for 1-2 hours after. On top of that to maximize its effects a low calorie caffeine source is also needed ideally caffeine pills but a black coffee or low cal energy drink would also do fine.

Its Effects kick in within 1-2 hours then usually lasting around 5 hours. For me these are subpar compared to other anxiolytic compounds, it just boosts my mood making socialising more enjoyable however this doesn't really translate into actual anxiety alleviation rather just a it's effects just make it more tolerable. (I have a very short social battery JFL) However, music does sound a lot better on phenibut. And it's effects work well in tandem with other drugs like pregabalin (which I will discuss later) making the high from it more euphoric however this is a lot of GABAergic activity that can cause intense GABA rebound as they are both GABA-B agonists. Additionally, taking phenibut with alcohol will make the effects of alcohol feel 5X stronger. No joke I drank one glass of wine and it felt like the whole bottle. I would also consider it a mild aphrodisiac it boosts my libido slightly or that could be placebo or maybe the alcohol I usually have alongside it. Overall, it's effects for me don't yield what you would want it to be able to engage more fluidly in conversation.

It's
Addiction / Long term use potential for me this is one of it's worst attributes. Firstly phenibut withdrawals are no joke, they are akin to opioid withdrawals. Additionally, you will build a tolerance to it insanely quickly, especially if taken frequently. It will never feel like the first time even with large breaks like 2-3 months.

Moreover, it is more cost prohibitive than other compounds though not too expensive usually going for about $1 per gram.

Overall, would not recommend.

Pregabalin 9/10

My next avenue was ordering a bunch of new drugs one of which was pregabalin which I would usually take at 150-300mg.

Pregabalin is vastly superior imo, it is actually prescribed for GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder) which I may have tbh.

Firstly its Oral Bioavailability and Method Of Administration. It's very orally bioavailable (around 90%, less effected by food etc). However, a way of taking it I found on Reddit is vastly superior on certain occasions, that being taking it sublingual. This makes it feel
2-3X stronger since it excludes first-pass metabolism. And kicks in way quicker, however the high tends to last a shorter amount of time.

It's
Effects kick in depending on the MOA, anywhere from 1-3 hours for me and then last anywhere from 5-7 hours again depending on the MOA. It isn't as euphoric as alcohol at least for me not the same 'buzz' but still feels pretty good. I would describe it like a mild ket high but I have no anxiety. You feel dizzy like mildly inebriated (depending on the dose obviously) and just don't overthink things at all. You go with the flow and feel much more adept socially. Same as last time I would avoid alcohol until it fully kicks in to avoid going into a comatose zombie state. Especially when taking the Clav special that being adding baclofen.

A negative or positive side, for me personally positive is it's nullifying effect on sexual stimulation, which will make you last longer but could cause erectile issues if ur dopamine receptors are fried from death-gripping.

It's Addiction / Long term use potential for me is hit and miss, it has less receptor down-regulation than phenibut although it's still not great I wouldn't recommend taking it more than a few times per month. Moreover, it causes for me at least a mild serotonin syndrome when taken frequently like the feeling where you don't get excited by things as easily you just have this cold mood.

It's cost is much better it being the same at about $1 per gram however you take way less in comparison to phenibut usually 5X less of the actual compound.

Overall, this by far the most anxiolytic and best bang for your buck drugs for anxiety.

Baclofen 8/10

In that previous order I mentioned I also ordered baclofen, this I would typically take at 25-50mg.

Firstly its Oral Bioavailability and Method Of Administration, very bioavailable orally. Can be taken sublingual I have heard but I have never tried that and I doubt it would necessarily modify its effects to any significant degree.

Its
Effects - This is also a great drug, especially in tandem with pregabalin due to their unique synergism. For me baclofen feels like alcohol without horrible sides. It makes you relaxed and low-inhib without causing you going full retard and slurring your words etc. It will make you stumble slightly however it seriously is not necessary imo to take more than 50mg I know from personal experience anything above that especially alongside alcohol will have you swaying from side to side all the way back to your car then falling asleep at the wheel. Always take caffeine alongside to limit its drowsiness effects.

It's Addiction / Long term use this is its best attribute, far less down-regulation and addiction potential compared with the other two compounds. Although I would argue it has a higher overdose potential than the others. It can literally cause you to go into a coma.

It's cost is a little for expensive from my experience usually around $10 per gram however, you take far less in comparison so it sits slightly higher in terms of costliness.

Overall, would recommend for combined use with pregab on nights out but less functional use solo.

Propranolol 9.5/10

Again, within that order I got prop this is far and a way the most adaptive and functional compound on this list. It is extremely effective at lowering noradrenaline and adrenaline signalling suppressing it around 60% when dosed between 20-40mg.

Firstly its Oral Bioavailability is exceptional just simply crosses the blood brain barrier.

It's Effects essentially eliminates the fight or flight response to such a significant degree that you feel so much more confident in confrontation and physical anxiety inducing scenarios. This makes it a great compound for dates and stressful scenarios like job interviews. It wont make you feel high or anything like that just simply less physical symptoms of anxiety such as sweating, shaking, flushing etc.

It's Addiction / Long-term use this is essentially a non-consideration, you won't become physically dependent on this unless you have it prescribed for a underlying health issue. And is safe long-term.

It's cost is pretty cheap as it doesn't have to be taken at a high dosage usually 20-40mg and would cots around $5 per gram.

In conclusion, my personal go-to stack is pregab 300mg sublingual + 50mg bac + 40mg prop + a lil alcohol later on.

Hope you guys enjoyed this thread it is my first.

Just wanted to share my experience, IK the grammar is not the best I bet altho cba to type anymore.

Useful, my fear when it comes to anxiolytic is the claim that they can make you feel drunk. I want to use them occasionally purely because I'm very often involved in giving presentations, and I'm VERY anxious, I'm able to power through and apparently people don't know my anxiety outside of me speaking a little fast and sweating occasionally, but I still feel it, so I wanted something to help me without, without impairing my speech.

Any recommendations bro?

I’ve read a little of people using modafinil as a social drug might be better than caffeine for this
